Ivo Maatman is a PhD-candidate in the Biomedical MR research group at the department of Radiology of Radboud university medical center, Nijmegen. In 2018 October he obtained a MSc. degree in astrophysics at Radboud University Nijmegen. For his master’s internship, he studied neutron stars in binaries at the Anton Pannekoek Institute for Astronomy. With the start of his PhD studentship Ivo switched research fields to work as a junior researcher in MR physics under the supervision of Tom Scheenen. Ivo's current work involves MRI motion correction techniques for the detection of primary tumors in the upper abdomen.
