Tijmen Koëter studied Medicine at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. After obtaining his medical degree, he started as a surgical resident (AIOS) at the Elisabeth-TweeSteden Hospital. Besides his clinical work, he focused on research regarding Quality of Life and MR Imaging of rectal cancer. In 2018, he continued his residency at the Radboudumc and started as PhD under supervision of Hans de Wilt. Since 2019, he started as full-time PhD under supervision of Tom Scheenen & Hans de Wilt at the BioMR group where the main focus will be on High-Resolution Imaging of Rectal Cancer besides the existing ongoing research projects.
